IGI is specialized in product sourcing, outsourced manufacturing, and supply chain management. Supply chain management is the process of planning, implementing, and controlling the operations of the supply chain with the purpose to satisfy customer requirements as efficiently as possible. Supply chain management ***ns all movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin. We are humbled by our deep relationships with our exporting and importing partners these past 22 years.
Our early beginnings were formed as clothing manufacturers in Montreal, the garment capital of Canada. We shifted our focus overseas in 1984 and haven’t looked back. The lessons learned as manufacturers taught that no matter where production is executed, it remains largely a people intensive operation subject to many variables. We have created, grown and sustained a local presence at factory level to retain hands-on control. The sole purpose for our high level of control is to permit trouble shooting, early ***ection of problems and to implement correction. Final inspections are of no value if the entire process is not monitored from cycle start. IGI arranges fabric, accessories and production flow. Our team includes 38 technicians (Chinese, Indian, and Sri Lankan) in three offices pre-inspecting raw materials and monitoring production. Importing is complex. Competition for reliable labour is very strong. However, with IGI buying power and accountability to all our partners, long lasting stable relationships are attainable.
